What is the minimum age of patients seen in your practice?

Age 18.

What insurances does Dr. Buhrmann participate with?

Tricare, PHCS, Value Options, Cigna, Aetna, Medicare and others.  (If you have another insurance provider please call them to find out what your benefits are for treatment with Dr. Buhrmann).

Is your office accepting new patients?

Yes, please call our office today to schedule an appointment.  You may print the New Patient Forms and fill them out at home.

What is your office policy on prescription refills?

We require a minimum of 24 hours for refills.  However, we suggest that you give us several day’s notice before you run out of your medication.  For medication refills our patients call their pharmacy directly and ask the pharmacy to fax a refill request to our office (see above).

What is your office policy on canceled or missed appointments?

It is very important that you keep your scheduled appointments.  We have a 24-hour cancellation policy which means you may be charged for your appointments if you do not attend them or if you cancel without giving us at least 24 hours notice.  Insurance will not be billed for late cancellations or no-shows.  You will be charged in full.

Does your office perform testing?

Our office does not provide testing.  We will be happy to refer you to providers that do.

Must I contact my insurance company prior to my first visit?

YES!  For your financial protection we always, strongly suggest that you contact your insurance company prior to your first visit.  Please see our Welcome Letter for a list of questions to ask you insurance company.

If I am an Active Duty Service Member with Tricare/Value Options coverage, are there special instructions for me to access my benefits for mental health services?

Yes!  For all Active Duty Service Members you are required to obtain a referral from your Primary Care Manager for the initial evaluation.
